C Kyle Schwarber's five RBIs are tied for fourth-most in the
Cactus League. Schwarber, who spent last season in the lower
minor leagues, was batting .200 (2-for-10) through midweek.
RHP Jason Hammel gave up three earned runs on five hits over
three innings in his start on May 12 against the Los Angeles
Angels. Hammel struck out two and walked a pair. He returned to
the Cubs after a mid-season trade to Oakland on July 5 last
season. Hammel went 8-5 with a 2.98 ERA (36 ER/108.2 IP) in 17
starts with the Cubs in 2014.
