Noah Butler wins Americanism Essay Contest

[March 14, 2015]  LINCOLN - LINCOLN - The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #263 recently sponsored their annual Americanism Essay Contest. The topic of the essays was “What new Amendment should be added to the U. S. Constitution?”

Each of the top three winners in Logan County received a certificate and a cash prize from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #263.

All the students were recognized by Marlene Schrader, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #263 Americanism Chairman.



Zion Lutheran School students received the following awards: Noah Butler – 1st place; Will Messner – 2nd place; and Natalie Miller and Katie Lynn – 3rd place.

Receiving honorable mention recognition were Elizabeth Awe, Greyson Rademaker, Grace Montgomery, Carter Robison, and Evan Derrick.

After winning the local contest, Noah’s essay was next entered in the district level competition.
