[March 19, 2015]  March 18 (The Sports Xchange) - The Detroit Red Wings said center Pavel Datsyuk, their No. 2 scorer, won't play the next two games.

Datsyuk, second on the team with 23 goals and 58 points, has a "lower-body ache," coach Mike Babcock said, and won't play Thursday at the Florida Panthers or Friday at the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Washington Capitals forward Jay Beagle will miss two more games with an upper-body injury, coach Barry Trotz said Wednesday.

Beagle took a hit from New York Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi last Wednesday, suffering an apparent shoulder injury, and has missed the past three games.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri was suspended four games for an illegal check to the head against Edmonton Oilers forward Matt Fraser.

Kadri is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $141,463.40. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

The Edmonton Oilers recalled center Andrew Miller from the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL.

Miller, 26, has registered 56 points (25 goals, 31 assists), 14 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating in 58 games with the Barons this season.

The Calgary Flames recalled center Markus Granlund from the Adirondack Flames of the AHL.

In 37 games for Calgary this season, Granlund has five goals and eight assists. In 21 games for Adirondack, he has nine goals and eight assists. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
