[March 19, 2015]  March 18 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Wednesday's National Basketball Association games:

Heat 108, Trail Blazers 104

Dwyane Wade scored 32 points to help the Miami Heat rally from an 11-point deficit in the second half to overcome the Portland Trail Blazers.

With the Heat trailing by two points in the final minute, Wade hit two jumpers then added two free throws to score his team's final eight points and 15 in the fourth quarter.

Miami (31-36) is seventh in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 34 points and 12 rebounds for Portland (44-22), who dropped to fourth place in the Western Conference.

Spurs 114, Bucks 103

Danny Green scored 20 points, Tim Duncan had 19 and the San Antonio Spurs avoided losing three straight games to Eastern Conference opponents with a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Less than 24 hours after a loss to the woeful New York Knicks, one that led San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich to publicly criticize his team, the Spurs reverted to championship form.


The Bucks got 19 points and nine rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Thunder 122, Celtics 118

Russell Westbrook scored 36 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to victory over the Boston Celtics.

Westbrook added 10 assists and five rebounds as the Thunder (38-30) moved a half game ahead of the idle New Orleans Pelicans for eighth place in the Western Conference.

The Celtics (30-37) are tied for eighth place in the Eastern Conference with the Indiana Pacers. Both teams are one game behind the seventh-place Miami Heat.

Cavaliers 117, Nets 92

Kevin Love returned from a two-game absence with 10 points and 11 rebounds and the Cleveland Cavaliers recovered from a sluggish start to easily handle the Brooklyn Nets.

LeBron James had 16 points and seven assists and guard Kyrie Irving had 12 points and 10 assists for the Cavaliers (44-26), who had seven players in double figures in scoring and are second place in the Eastern Conference.

Deron Williams had 20 points and six assists for the Nets (27-39).

Bulls 103, Pacers 86

Rookie forward Nikola Mirotic scored 25 points with nine rebounds off the bench as the Chicago Bulls cruised to victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Mike Dunleavy added 21 points for Chicago, which never trailed after the first quarter. Pau Gasol contributed 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls (41-28).

Solomon Hill scored 13 points to lead Indiana (30-37), who remained tied with Boston for eighth in the East.

Mavericks 107, Magic 102

Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points in Dallas' wire-to-wire win over the Orlando Magic.

The visitors gave the Mavericks (44-25) a late scare after Dallas dominated through a breezy first three quarters.

Magic rookie point guard Elfrid Payton had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

Raptors 105, Timberwolves 100

DeMar DeRozan led the way with 21 points as the Raptors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Raptors (41-27) are winners of seven straight meetings against Minnesota (14-53) and are third in the East, two games behind Cleveland.

Minnesota guard Kevin Martin had a game-high 37 points and seven rebounds in the defeat.

76ers 94, Pistons 83

Ish Smith had 15 points and eight assists as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the slumping Detroit Pistons.

Jason Richardson added 14 points for the Sixers (16-52), who won for just the third time in 10 games.
