[March 23, 2015]  LINCOLN - Ernest E. "Perk" Ingram, 87, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation: from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln.

Obituary

Ernest E. "Perk" Ingram, 87, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln with military rites provided by the Lincoln American Legion Post 263.

Perk was born July 23, 1927 in Lincoln. He was raised by his grandparents Ben and Kathryn Ingram and made his home with his uncle and aunt John and Dolly Maaks. He married Lena Ramlow on October 8, 1954 in Lincoln.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was a member of the 44th Engineer's "Broken Heart" Battalion. Mr. Ingram was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post 263, a former member of the Broadwell school board, a former volunteer fireman in Broadwell, and a member of the Land of Lincoln Antique Tractor and Engine Club.

Surviving are his wife Lena Ingram of Lincoln, his son Duane Ingram of Lincoln, his daughter Sheryl Letterle of Williamsville, his son Darwin (Jane) Ingram of Beason.; his grandchildren: John (Lindsay) Ingram of Daytona Beach, FL., Dusty (Sherry) Ingram of Beason, Holly (Wade) Meteer of Athens, Brittany (Andy) Bedolli of Buffalo, and Aubrey Letterle of Springfield; his great grandchildren Kindsay and Macy Ingram, Dalton and Madi Guy, and Joshua Jacob, and Kaleb Bedolli also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben and Kathryn Ingram, his uncle and aunt John and Dolly Maaks, and his daughter-in-law Robin Ingram.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to American Legion Post 263 Baseball and will be accepted at the funeral home.
