Lincoln College Men's Golf Region XXIV Tournament

LINCOLN - The Lincoln College men's golf team finished up it's spring season at the Region XXIV Tournament held at Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University.

The tournament consisted of 36 holes on Sunday, May 3 and concluded with 18 holes on Monday, May 4. Illinois Central College won the team event with a 54-hole total of 920, just one stroke ahead of Parkland (921) and 3 shots ahead of Rend Lake (923). Rend Lake held a 7 shot lead after 36 holes, but Parkland College fired a final round 305 to win the event.

Lewis & Clark's Colin Ahlvers was the tournament champion with a 54-hole total of 218 (76-72-70), 2 shots ahead of ICC's Ethan Brue (220; 73-75-72). Lincoln College's Tanner Cicci tied for 3rd place overall with a 3-round total of 227 which included a final round even par 71. The top 10 players in the field earned All-Region XXIV honors (see list below).

The top five individuals not on the winning team (ICC) earned a berth into the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Scottsboro, AL at Goose Pond Colony May 19-May 22.
