[May 05, 2015]  HOFFMAN ESTATES - Kevin L. Combs, 59, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Atlanta, passed away at 9:00 a.m. today, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Journeycare Pepper Family Hospice Center in Barrington.

Visitation: From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta

Service: Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Kevin L. Combs, 59, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Atlanta, passed away at 9:00 a.m. today, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Journeycare Pepper Family Hospice Center in Barrington.

Funeral services for Mr. Combs will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the funeral home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in rural Emden at a later date.

Kevin Lynn Combs was born September 13, 1955, in Lincoln, the son of Melvin Frederick and Vivian Elizabeth Radley Combs. He married Christy B. Aughenbaugh on July 30, 1988. She survives.

Kevin is further survived by his children: Kyle Combs of Atlanta, Jacob Combs of Ft Carson, Col., and Cory (Alexis) Combs of Ft Hood, Tex., Maria Sanchez of Chicago, and Carlos (Kristin) Sanchez of Vernon Hills, Ill.; siblings: Ed Combs of Mt. Pulaski, Margaret (Paul) Meyers of Hot Springs, Ark., Don (Laureen) Combs of Auburn, NH, John (Peggy) Combs of Winter Pointe, Maine, Joy (Bruce) Ervin of Webb City, Mo., Randy (Kathy) Combs of Atlanta, Ill. and sister-in-law: Melinda Combs of Easton, Ill.; and his grandchildren: Adrian Sanchez, Elena Sanchez and Graycin Combs.

He was preceded in death by: one brother, Gary Combs and one sister, Marilyn Boward, and his parents Melvin and Vivian Combs.

Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Olympia High School and the owner of Combs and Sons Construction. He was a member of the Methodist Church. His hobbies included woodworking, classic cars, hunting, fishing, supporting his children in their endeavors, and spending time with his grandchildren.
