Groundbreaking for The Christian Village Expansion

[May 08, 2015]  Groundbreaking for the $6 million expansion project at The Christian Village will be at 2 pm Tuesday, May 12 at the site of the planned Assisted Living Garden Villa at the intersection of Main St. and Sixth St., behind the current campus.
The event will begin with the Slice of Heaven Pie Baking Contest, which will be judged at 1 pm. Those attending the groundbreaking will be able to eat pie after the ceremony.

The expansion project includes a new Rehab-to-Home wing, an assisted living home for memory care residents, renovation of Hope Hall in the nursing home and an update of the independent living garden homes and apartments. Seventh Street will be permanently closed to allow the nursing home and Rehab-to-Home wing to be connected.
