[May 14, 2015]  McLEAN - Jean Stubblefield, 96, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 7:33 p.m. at Heritage Manor in Normal.

Visitation: Saturday, May 16, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church

Service: Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Funks Grove Church, rural McLean.

Obituary

Jean Stubblefield, 96, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 7:33 p.m. at Heritage Manor in Normal.

Funeral Services for Jean will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Funks Grove Church in rural McLean. Rev. Rob Roy will officiate.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery in rural McLean.

Jean Roberts was born August 21, 1918 in McLean, the daughter of James and Maude Rhodes Roberts. She married Jesse Stubblefield on February 25, 1966. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1977.

Mrs. Stubblefield is survived by her grandchildren: Patricia Ryan of Peoria, Arizona, Linda (Gary) Bristow of Bloomington, Pam (Mike) Hayes of Decatur, Shari (Bill) Dicken of Bloomington, Vicki (Bill) Mote of Bloomington, Sara (Kent) Kleinschmidt of Emden, and Mary K. (Paul) Kerhlikar of Auburn, Illinois; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her loving dog, Senator, also survives.

Funeral Director

Jean was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Jean was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid Society. She retired from State of Illinois as State Fair Secretary and had served as Mt. Hope Tax Assessor and Secretary-Treasurer of Central States Threshermen's Association.

The family expresses special thanks to the student nurses from ISU Mennonite College of Nursing that sat with her. They gave her peace and joy.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Ladies' Aid, Heritage Manor Legacy Area, or ISU Mennonite College of Nursing.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
