This week demolition projects began at the intersection of Woodlawn Road and Lincoln Parkway. At the old Tropics, location digging was underway removing some underground storage tanks.

The old Tropics property now belongs to the owners of the Heritage Plaza Shopping Mall and R.P. Lumber. To date, the firm has not said what the future use of the property will be.

At the Tuesday evening meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Andi Hake of the Logan County Alliance said the owners were keeping their plans 'very close to the vest."

On the other side of the intersection, behind Four-corners Lube, a vacant house was being demolished. Four-Corners has purchased the property and will use the space to expand their lawnmower business.
