[May 19, 2015]  May 18 (The Sports Xchange) - The Philadelphia Flyers hired college veteran Dave Hakstol, who has no NHL playing or coaching experience, as the 19th head coach in team history.

Hakstol, 46, had been the coach at the University of North Dakota for the previous 11 seasons.

Hakstol replaces Craig Berube, who was fired April 17 after the Flyers missed the Stanley Cup playoffs. In two seasons, Berube went 75-58-28.

Hakstol compiled an overall record of 289-143-43 at North Dakota with a .654 winning percentage in 475 games. In 2014-15, he led North Dakota to a 29-10-3 record with a .726 winning percentage and a berth in the NCAA Frozen Four.

New York Rangers RW Mats Zuccarello, who has not played since Game Seven of the first round, skated on his own Monday.

The Rangers have not disclosed his injury, but it's very likely a concussion. He is still listed as being out indefinitely.
