Randy Grohmann is the May LTEC Student of the Month

[May 20, 2015]  LINCOLN - Randy Grohmann, son of Tom and Lois Grohmann, was named May Student of the Month for the Cooperative Education program at the Lincolnland Technical Education Center. Randy is a senior at Hartsburg Emden High School.

Ms. Janet Cameron, Randy's instructor, selected him for many reasons including his great work ethic. Ms. Cameron says that Randy has excelled academically in the classroom as well as on the job.

In the classroom room he has had excellent attendance, is respectful, contributes to class discussions and is cooperative. Randy has a positive attitude and a great personality. Ms. Cameron goes on to say that Randy has been an asset in the Cooperative Education classroom and on his job.

Randy was nominated by his employer Kent Leesman of Leesman Family Farms, Inc. for the Co-Op Employee of the Year award based on his work performance, attitude, dedication and reliability on the farm.

Randy has been involved in FFA for four years. He is the Co-Vice President for the FFA Chapter, the 4-H treasurer for three years, Beta Club member for four years, and Co-Op Student Employee of the year for 2015.

Randy plans to attend the Spoon River College next fall and major in Diesel Technology.

Randy received a $50 from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln, who sponsors this award and honored him at a noon luncheon.
