[May 12, 2015]  "Candyland” has been chosen as the theme for the 6th Annual Princess Tea, which will be held on Saturday, May 30, in the Fellowship Center of Lincoln Christian Church. The Princess Tea is a very special event planned for young ladies from ages 3 to 12 and their adult “guests” (mothers, grandmothers, aunts, special friends, etc.). Each Princess must be accompanied by at least one adult guest.

The Princess Tea will feature tea tables decorated and hosted by women from the community. Young ladies are invited to come dressed in their Sunday best or wearing Princess attire. The event will include special foods and beverages, entertainment and decorations in keeping with the theme. A photo op will be available so guests are encouraged to bring their cameras.

Julie King, originator of the event, sees the Princess Tea as a time for special bonding between the young ladies and their adult guests, providing a time when young ladies will be made to feel as “special” as they were intended to be and giving them a glimpse of participating in future social events.

Hours of “Candyland” will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tickets are available in the church office during regular office hours through Monday, May 25. Seating is limited.

Anyone having questions about the Tea may contact Julie King, at 314-9413.

All proceeds from the Princess Tea will become a part of the 32nd Annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger, to be held on Saturday, October 24 at the Lincoln Christian Church. All Harvest funds are earmarked to meet both spiritual and physical hunger needs worldwide in Jesus’ name.
