[May 27, 2015]  LINCOLN - Geneva C. "Nevie" Haseley, 85, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 5:52 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 26, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln

Service: Tuesday at Noon 12:00 p.m. at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln      Quiram Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta

Obituary

Geneva C. "Nevie" Haseley, 85, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 5:52 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services for Nevie will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln
with Pastor Mark Peters officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will be in the New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Geneva Caroline Haseley was born on September 29, 1929 in Lincoln the daughter of Reynold Orville and Cora Baker Liesman. She was united in marriage to Melvin Louis "Jim"Haseley on April 19, 1950 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Vickie Jo Ann (Kirby) Bruce of Lincoln, Roger Reynold (Susan) Haseley of Finley, Ohio, and Melissa Sue (Kevin) Riggs of Lincoln; six grandchildren: Jeremy (Cindy) Bruce, Kelsey (Matt) McQuality, Ross (Janelle) Haseley, Abbey Haseley, Tyler Riggs, and Kayla Riggs; five great-grandchildren: Adelin, Chloe, Landon, Keegan, and Charlotte; three sisters: Bernice "Totty" Hoffert, Mary Ann Underwood Bratcher, both of Lincoln, and Ruth Steffens of Litchfield.

Funeral Director

Nevie graduated from the Lincoln High School in 1947. She worked as a cook at the West Lincoln Broadwell School for many years.

She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and Emblem Club #433 of Supreme Club of the United States of America.

Nevie enjoyed playing card games, Aggravation, the Horsey game, and loved to cook. She was an avid CUBS fan. She most enjoyed spending time her grandchildren and friends.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
