The public is invited to Camp Griesheim's Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 15 at 5 p.m. in their main facility in Atlanta, Illinois.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.

St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the church's parking lot, at the corner of Eighth and Maple streets.

The public is invited. All ages are welcome to join in the games, snacks, songs, stories and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all for free.

For answers to questions about the event, call the church office, 732-6957.

The carnival is sponsored by the St. John Christian Education Ministry.

WHO: Open to everyone
DETAILS: Logan County Love will once again provide a free meal to anyone wishing to join. If you are interested, please stop by and introduce yourself as the group would love to see everyone in the community. Come hungry and leave fulfilled. For this month, the meal will include chicken and noodles. If you are unable to drive but would like a meal, call the church, 217-732-6957, between 5 and 6 pm.

Good News Carry-Out Pork Chop Dinner  Sunday, November 15!

Good News is having a Carry-Out Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser on Sunday, November 15, from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to help the students raise money for GN’s summer tour in June. The carry-out menu includes a grilled boneless pork chop, candy glazed carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a roll with butter. You can purchase your ticket from any Good News student now through November 8 to directly support that Good News student as they raise their tour fees. On Sunday mornings, the Good News students will be near the Welcome Center in the Family Room for ticket sales now through November 8. You can also purchase a ticket in the Church Office during the week to go toward the general Good News tour fund. Good News is made up of 7th-12th grade students. Our Home Concert will be Monday, June 6, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. with our tour to Orlando, Florida, following (June 7-14). The eight-day ministry tour will take Good News through Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Illinois. Thanks for your continued support of GOOD NEWS!


The Ball Brothers to perform during Christmas on Vinegar Hill

The award winning Gospel Quartet, The Ball Brothers, will be presenting their Christmas Concert during the annual Christmas on Vinegar Hill in Mount Pulaski.

This summer, bass singer and piano player, Jon Epley joined the group and has added a new dimension to their sound, although they still maintain their close, unique harmony. You will not want to miss this new talented piano player and bass singer, as well as our old time favorites, Andrew Ball, Daniel Ball, and Chad McCloskey.

The Ball Brothers' music is enjoyed by everyone with its close harmony and diverse music. Come and enjoy a night of great music, fun, and fellowship.
