Carroll Catholic hosts Kickoff Week Tournament
Crusaders take two from Illini Central

[November 03, 2015]  LINCOLN - Carroll Catholic School hosted the first night of its annual Kickoff Week tournament for boys basketball Monday night.

The Crusaders team made up of players from Carroll Catholic, New Holland-Middletown, and Zion Lutheran schools hosted Illini Central.

In the 7th grade contest, the Crusaders won 57-18.

The Crusaders were led in scoring by Dylan Singleton, who tallied 25 points. Trent Koehler and Alex Jannsen each had 12 points, and Andrew Graue scored 8 points.

In the 8th grade game, CCS/NHM/ZLS defeated the visiting Cougars by a score of 40-36.

The Crusaders were led by Dylan Singleton with 12 points. Jayden Graham had 10 points. The rest of the scoring for the Crusaders went: Alex Jannsen (5 points) Hunter Harrison (5) TJ Merriman (4) Luke Hinch (2) and Isaiah Prather (2).

Illini Central was led by Alexander Entwistle with 13 points.

Action continues Tuesday, with CCS/NHM/ZLS playing West Lincoln-Broadwell and Illini Central playing Greenview.
