Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 4,  at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, at Open Arms Christian Fellowship, Lincoln

Obituary

Tamara Sue "Tami" Bray, 62, of Kenney, passed away November 1, 2015, at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Open Arms Christian Fellowship, Lincoln with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.

Tami was born March 16, 1953, in Lincoln, the daughter of James and Alice (Benedict) Dempsey. She married Gary Bray on November 1, 2003, in Lincoln.

She was a member of Open Arms Christian Fellowship in Lincoln, the proprietress of The Sewing Place on Woodlawn Road in Lincoln for many years, and was the founder and director of the Kid's Closet in Lincoln that provided free children's clothing to many families.

Funeral Directors

Surviving are her husband, Gary Bray of Kenney, daughter Caroline Cole of Kenney, stepson Trevor Bray of Clinton, grandchildren Vanessa and Benjamin Call of Kenney, and brother Michael (Pam) Dempsey of Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Robin Fry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Open Arms Christian Fellowship and will be accepted at the funeral home.
