WLB Lady Wolverines 8th Grade Logan County's Basketball Champions

[November 03, 2015]  LINCOLN - The WLB Lady Wolverines captured their 3rd straight 8th Grade Logan County Basketball Championship this weekend.

The Lady Wolverines started the morning by playing CCS/NHM/ZLS. The Lady Wolverines defeated the Crusaders by a score of 56-2.
 

Leah Schneider and Madelyn Koehler led all scorers with 15 points a piece. Also scoring for the Lady Wolverines were Makayla Anderson 10, Karissa Bowman 6, Asia Sales 2, Roi Schilling 2, Brooke Montcalm 2, Abbie Oliver 2, Madison Orebaugh 2. Leah Schneider also led on the boards with 7 rebounds. Brooke Montcalm provided 5 steals and Asia Sales 4 steals.

With the win the Lady Wolverines were set to play the Honeybears of Mount Pulaski.

The Lady Wolverines pulled out to a great start with a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The final score of the contest was 51-12.

Madelyn Koehler led all scorers with 17 points as Leah Schneider put in 13. Also scoring for WLB was Makayla Anderson 6, Adrienne Tiffany 5, Emily Paulus 4, Madison Orebaugh 4, Asia Sales 2. Leah Schneider was all over the court as she pulled down 8 rebounds and grabbed 7 steals she also had 3 blocks.

With the wins, the 8th grade Lady Wolverines are now 15-1. This is the 2nd year that the Lady Wolverines have brought home both 7th and 8th grade County Championships a true accomplishment!!
