CEL Panthers split two at Cornerstone tournament

[November 06, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Chester-East Lincoln boys basketball team took on Normal Calvary on night two of the Cornerstone Christian Academy Tournament and came away with one victory.

The Panther 8th grade squad improved to 2-0 with a 49-36 win. Noah Funk led the scoring with 19 points, Isaac Dewberry finished with 12 points, Thomas Morris 8 points, Will Ewald 6 points, Jayden Pollice and McIntosh had 2 points.

The 7th grade team came up just short in a 24-22 loss to make their record 1-1.

Seth Tungate finished with 14 points, Elijah Pollice 5 points, 2 points for Alex Ward and 1 point for Jaden Klopp.

The Panthers will be back at Cornerstone on Saturday for 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. games.
