- Eleventh Judicial Circuit Associate Judge Mark A. Fellheimer
announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Circuit
Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit on Tuesday, November 10th at 2:30
p.m. in Lincoln at the Logan County Courthouse.

The 11th Judicial Circuit includes Ford, McLean, Livingston,
Woodford and Logan Counties. This is an at-large judgeship to be
elected by the voters in all five counties. The primary election is
March 15th, 2016 and Judge Fellheimer seeks to fill the vacancy
created by the retirement of Circuit Judge Charles Reynard.
Judge Fellheimer has served as an Associate Judge since 2008 and
hears cases in all five counties in the 11th Circuit. Judge
Fellheimer has presided over approximately 130 jury trials and over
5,000 contested trials in all of the court’s divisions ranging from
traffic tickets to murder, small claims to complex civil litigation,
including presiding in Logan County on assignment.
Judge Fellheimer’s family consists of his wife, Colleen (Duffy)
Fellheimer, a Registered Nurse, and children, Morgan (16), and Katie
(14) and Roman (8). Judge Fellheimer was a founding member of the
Livingston County Humane Society, past president of the Pontiac
District #429 Education Foundation and former board member of the
Institute for Human Resources.
Judge Fellheimer graduated from Arizona State University with a
Business degree and then from Valparaiso University School of Law
with a Juris Doctorate degree, both with honors. Prior to becoming a
judge, Judge Fellheimer practiced throughout central Illinois in a
general practice with his family’s law firm, The Fellheimer Law
Firm. Judge Fellheimer is a member of the Illinois State Bar
Association and the Illinois Judges’ Association. He has routinely
presented programs to area high school students regarding the
judicial system.

Judge Fellheimer received the highest approval score amongst all Associate
Judges in the Eleventh Circuit with a 100% approval rating after having been
evaluated by the Illinois State Bar Association through a Judicial Advisory Poll
when he was retained in July, 2015. Judge Fellheimer is one of only a very few
judges to receive a 100% approval rating in the State of Illinois. Judge

For clarification, 11th Circuit Judges Charles Feeney and Casey Costigan are
both running for different judicial vacancies in the March primary.
Judge Fellheimer was introduced by Retired Logan County Resident Circuit Judge
