[November 12, 2015]  LINCOLN - Betty Ann Cross, 87, formerly of Emden, passed away at 6:30 p.m. November 10, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday November 14, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Emden

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday,  the church

Betty Ann Cross, 87, formerly of Emden, passed away at 6:30 p.m. November 10, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Betty was born July 26, 1928 in Tazewell County, the daughter of Harry and Rosa Heineken Whittaker who have preceded her in death. She married Glenn E. Cross June 27, 1948 at Emden Christian Church. He survives in Lincoln.

Betty is also survived by two sons: John L. (Jayne) Cross of Emden; Joel (Kathleen) Cross of New Berlin; five grandchildren: Janna (Brett) Conrady, Jaci (Shaun) Manning, Jillyn Cross, JoAnn Cross, and Jason Cross. Great grandchildren: Ryder and Brantley Conrady and Carson and Cruz Manning. She is last of her immediate family.

Betty was a homemaker and secretary of Glenn Cross Feed Store. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at Emden; member of the Ladies Aide of the church and held the office of president.

Services for Betty will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 14, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Emden with Rev. John Schurter and Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Burial will follow in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, rural Hartsburg, IL Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 14, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church also. Memorials may be given in Betty’s honor to St. Peter Lutheran Church or The Christian Village of Lincoln.

Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
