Brenda Clark (left in photo) is the new insurance administrator
and Affordable Care Act Compliance Officer. She also serves as the
Program Compliance Oversight Monitor (PCOM) officer for Logan County
public transportation.
Barr earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois,
Springfield. She previously worked for Auburn and Chatham Public
Libraries, and Catholic Charities.
Clark, who studied at Illinois State University and University of
North Carolina, Chapel Hill, most recently served as chief deputy
clerk for Dewitt County Circuit Clerk. She also has experience as a
paralegal.
“Michelle has already distinguished herself in the short time she’s
been here,” noted Dave Hepler, chairman of the board. “She has
displayed an incredible work ethic, commitment to detail and a
passion for public service – especially the benefits earned by our
veterans.”

“Given Brenda’s experience in both the public and private sector, her very high
capacity level and delightful personality, we have every expectation she and
Michelle will comprise an outstanding team serving our board, interacting with
other offices and meeting the needs of the public,” he added.
Barr and Clark replace Abbey Freese, who transferred to the Circuit Clerk’s
office, and Pam Meagher, who has accepted a position as Facility Compliance and
Inventory Supervisor for Cresco Labs.
