Pulaski Honeybears pick up a wins on 8th Grade Night over Crusaders

MOUNT
PULASKI - Members of the 2015 Mount Pulaski Honeybears stand on
the line for the singing of the National Anthem by Mount Pulaski Junior
High School teacher, Barbara Maske. The Honeybears swept the Crusaders
on 8th grade night Tuesday by winning the 7th grade game 24-12 and the
8th grade game 37-5.

 The Honeybears swept the Crusaders on 8th Grade Night Tuesday by
winning the 7th grade game 24-12 and the 8th grade game 37-5.
In the 8th grade contest the Honeybears jumped out to an early 9-0
lead, supported by two 3s by Olivia Cooper.
At the half Mount Pulaski held a solid 16-3 lead. Cooper started the
third quarter off with another trey that was nothing but net.
Isabella Wade followed shortly after with the fast break layup to
give Mount Pulaski a 20 point lead, 23-3 now the score.
Fellow 8th graders Makayla Stewart, Amelia Kuhlman, Reagan Kirk,
Emma Aylesworth, Leah Beckers and Maddie Roberts all got in on the
scoring action in the second half and Mount Pulaski ran away with
the victory 37-5.
Olivia Cooper led the 8th grade team with 9 points, all threes,
while Isabella Wade tallied 7 points. Eight 8th graders were in the
scoring column for Mount Pulaski. Elaine Aylesworth and Kaylee
Wilham (out with an ankle injury) make up the rest of the 8th grade
squad for Coach Jamie Anderson.
For the Crusaders, a co-op between Carroll Catholic, New
Holland-Middletown and Lincoln Zion Lutheran, the Crusaders were led
in scoring by Krystina Slack and Ayiana Benedict, each with two
points.
