[November 18, 2015]  MINIER - Christmas is fast approaching and so is the 2015 Minier Christmas Parade. The parade steps off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 5th. Don’t miss this festive start to the holiday season.

“OLYMPIA HEROES” will lead off the parade as Grand Marshalls – our police, fire fighters and paramedics will be honored for all they do for our eight Olympia communities. Come see the Marching Spartans perform, the floats, the Tin Lizzies, local dignitaries and, of course, Santa Claus and his elves.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., home business vendors will set up shop in the Masonic Lodge on Main St. in Minier. This is the perfect place to do Christmas shopping; there will be a wide range of shopping opportunities – food, candles, baskets, jewelry and more. Make sure to sign up for the Grand Prize drawing to be awarded at 4 p.m. This year’s prize is the Fit Bit HR.

Following the Parade, Santa will visit with children at the Minier Fire Station. Be sure to come and tell him what is on your wish list this year.

On Sunday, Dec. 6th, the town-wide Christmas decorations will be judged by a team from the Olympia Kiwanis Club. Have your lights on by 5:30 p.m. and show your holiday spirit by lighting up the town.
