TO CELEBRATE TOTENFEST

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22

during 10:30 AM Worship Service

St. John United Church of Christ will celebrate the century old Christian tradition of Totenfest this coming Sunday, November 22 during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Pastor Ken D Kramer will conduct this service, remembering all those who have passed away in the last church year - Advent of 2014 to the present whose memorial services were conducted at St. John Church and members whose services were conducted elsewhere. Totenfest means ‘ Remembrance of the Dead’.
This is a service of respect and remembrance during which each of their names, date of birth and death will be shared while a member of their family lights a candle in their memory on the Communion Table. After each remembrance a bell will be tolled. This service is open to all family and friends of those being remembered.
