Career Link to hold "Rapid Response Workshop" for Caterpillar’s laid off workers

[November 21, 2015]  PEORIA - Local non-profit organizations, government agencies, and training providers are coming together to help laid-off workers from Caterpillar. Career Link, an Illinois workNet Center, has organized a Rapid Response workshop to inform Caterpillar’s laid off workers of resources and services available to them.

The 90-minute workshop will be held at Illinois Central College, North Campus, Arbor 111, 5407 University Street, Peoria, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1st.

Representatives from Career Link, Edward Jones, Illinois Central College, Illinois Department of Commerce, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Illinois Department of Insurance and Navicore Solutions will present during the workshop. The services and resources promoted during Rapid Response workshops are available to dislocated workers at no cost.

The event is open to individuals that have been laid off from Caterpillar within the past year or have been notified by Caterpillar of their impending layoff. Seating is limited, so individuals are invited to reserve their seat by calling Career Link at 309-999-4592.
