West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines defeats Springfield Calvary

The West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines clinched the Regional Championship last night by defeating Springfield Calvary.

The Lady Wolverines came out against a much bigger Calvary team by putting up a 10-4 first quarter lead. The Lady Wolverines never gave up that lead and ended the ballgame with a 48-17 victory.

The Lady Wolverines were lead in scoring by Makayla Anderson with 25 points. Anderson put down four 3 pointers in her great offensive game. Also scoring for the Lady Wolverines were Tori Schilling 8, Emily Paulus 6, Elly Martinez 2, Asia Sales 2, Madison Orebaugh 2, Jazmyn Robbins 1. Tori Schilling did a great job on the boards and pulled down 7 rebounds as Emily Paulus had 5. Madison Orebaugh did a great job defending the middle of the press and was able to capture 8 steals, as did Karissa Bowman who had 5. Madison Orebaugh also made some great passes to lead the team in assist with 5.

With the victory the 7th grade Lady Wolverines will play in the Sectional Championship next Wednesday night December 2nd at Springfield Little Flower 6:30 p.m.

The 8th Grade Lady Wolverines take the floor on December 1st at WLB for the first round of Regionals.

The next few weeks should be an exciting time for the Lady Wolverine program please come out and support the girls and their efforts.
