[October 16, 2015]  SS Javier Baez, who filled in at shortstop the last game and a half against the Cardinals, figures to man the position against the New York Mets in the NLCS with Addison Russell sidelined. Baez hit a crucial homer in Game 5 against St. Louis after committing an error in Game 4.

SS Addison Russell, who strained his left hamstring during the NLDS, will miss the NLCS, manager Joe Maddon announced Thursday.

LHP Jon Lester will start Game 1 of the National League Championship Series for the Cubs against the Mets on Saturday.
