[October 22, 2015]  Oct 21 (The Sports Xchange) - Former NBA player Lamar Odom and his estranged wife, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, decided to stay married while he continues his recovery after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last week.

Kardashian's lawyer went before a Los Angeles judge on Wednesday to withdraw divorce papers filed in December 2013 and the judge granted the request, according to reports.

Jimmer Fredette was waived by the San Antonio Spurs.

Fredette, 26, was the 10th overall pick in 2011 with the Sacramento Kings and bounced from the Chicago Bulls to the New Orleans Pelicans before signing with San Antonio this summer.

New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher is leaning toward starting rookie Kristaps Porzingis on opening night of the regular season.

The 7-foot-3 forward, drafted by the Knicks at No. 4 overall in the first round in June, is averaging 7.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 34 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range in three preseason games. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
