[October 24, 2015]  BLOOMINGTON - October 19th through 23rd is National School Buss Safety Week. Twenty five million children in the United States ride to and from school on 440,000 school buses over 4.3 billion miles each year.

Regional Superintendent of Schools Mark Jontry reminds you to be aware of school buses on the road. An extended stop arm and flashing red lights are your signals to be alert for children loading or unloading from a school bus. Stop and wait – it’s the law.

Regional Office of Education #17 serves over 37,000 students in all public and private schools across DeWitt, Livingston, Logan and McLean counties.
