[October 26, 2015]  Oct 25 (The Sports Xchange) - Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov missed Saturday's game with an injury, and the Florida Sun Sentinel reported Sunday that Barkov has a broken bone in his hand.

It is unclear how long Barkov will be sidelined, with the report suggesting it could be anywhere from two weeks to two months.

Barkov, 20, last played in a game on Thursday. He has three goals and three assists in his seven games this season. Last season he had 16 goals and 20 assists.

Calgary Flames defenseman T.J. Brodie took part in limited action during the team's morning skate Sunday as he nears his return from a broken hand suffered during the preseason.

Brodie, 25, who scored 11 goals and 41 points last season, is still expected to miss a few more games.

The Philadelphia Flyers placed goalie Michal Neuvirth on injured reserve with an upper-body injury suffered against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday.

Neuvirth (2-0-0, 1.55 goals-against average) did not practice Sunday and general manager Ron Hextall said he is day-to-day.

Goalie Jason LaBarbera, 35, was recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.
