On Friday the local Bonanza restaurant offered a free buffet meal to local responders. The restaurant, owned by Bret Borst, has been offering this lunch in appreciation of the work and sacrifice of our local first line of defense in times of disaster and tragedy since the attack on America on September 11, 2001.

Borst has often said that all firefighters and police officers, as well as those who work with local ambulance services and Emergency Management are the heroes who are willing to sacrifice time away from their families, and risk personal injury or death to keep our community safe.

A free meal in Borst's opinion is just one small gesture he can make to show his appreciation to these men and women for all they do.
