Mr. Bateman called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
A motion was made by Mr. Ruben, seconded by Mr. Farmer, to approve
the minutes from the May 5, 2015 meeting. Motion passed.
Old Business:
Salary Reimbursement and Office Renovation- Kim Turner’s Office:
Mr. Bateman reported he has not had time to call Mrs. Turner. Mr.
Bateman is on vacation this week from work and plans to call her.

Military Veteran’s Information Center: Nothing to report.
Floor Plan/Furniture at the Assessor’s Office: Mr. Bateman
reported Mrs. Martinek e-mailed him and said she can get free
furniture. Mr. Ruben reported that is true, Chris Huff can help get
free furniture from State Farm. Chris Huff has already received the
free furniture and it’s being stored in a trailer.
Part Time Summer Help/Full-Time Maintenance: Mr. Bateman
reported the part time summer help has been trimming bushes and
tomorrow he is laying new wood chips at Scully Park. Mr. Ruben would
like to hire another full-time maintenance worker. Mr. Ruben talked
to Sheriff and Sheriff is okay with hiring another full-time
maintenance worker under him. The committee agreed they could
increase the Sheriff’s Budget $30,000 to hire another maintenance
worker. Mr. Hepler would like the board to set the job description
for the new worker. Mr. Bateman reported the summer time help has
been coming in at 8:30a.m every day and Mrs. Meagher has been
signing off on his time. Mr. Ruben suggested if the Sheriff hires
another maintenance worker, maybe the maintenance worker can check
in with Mrs. Meagher or Mrs. Freese and see if they have a list for
him to do in the afternoon. If the secretaries do not have a list
for the maintenance worker he then goes back to helping Mr. Reves. A
motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Ruben, transfer
$30,000 into the Sheriff’s Budget to hire a full time maintenance
worker who would also handle responsibilities from Building and
Grounds. Motion passed. Mr. Hepler will contact Sheriff and talk to
him regarding the maintenance worker. Mr. Hepler would like Sheriff
to also help on the job description. Mr. Bateman will bring forward
this motion at the workshop. The part time summer help will keep
working until the full time worker is hired.
Natural Gas Contract-Adam Schmidt: Mr. Bateman reported this
has been taken care of.

Lights at the Safety Complex and Parks: Mr.
Blankenship explained what was wrong with the lights at the
Safety Complex. Mr. Blankenship fixed all the lights outside the
Safety Complex.
Electricity work in band shelter at Latham Park: Mr.
Blankenship has temporarily fixed the problem at Latham Park.
Mr. Blankenship suggested the county fix the remaining items as
soon as possible. A motion was made by Mr. Ruben, seconded by
Mr. Hepler, to fix the electricity at Latham Park at an amount
not to exceed $2,500. Motion passed.
New Business:
Wood Chips for Scully Park: Mr. Bateman ordered the wood
chips and they will be delivered tomorrow.
Mrs. Parker called Mrs. Schumacher and Mr. Bateman to see if she
can plant flowers at the Courthouse and Animal Control. The
committee agreed to spend $200.00 on flowers for the Courthouse
and Animal Control. Mrs. Parker will go to ACE Hardware and
charge the flowers to the county’s account.

Report from Dennis Reves: Nothing to report.
Budget Matters: Mr. Ruben reported Building and Grounds
is at 79.8% and it should be at 50%. Nothing further to report.
Communications: Mr. Bateman reported we need to do
something about the pigeons. Mr. Bateman would like to do
something next year.
A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs, to
approve the bills. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Mr. Ruben, seconded by Mrs. Schumacher, to
adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 8:10 pm.
