[September 14, 2015]  BLOOMINGTON - Mary Ann Hilst, 88, of Bloomington, formerly of Lincoln, passed away at 7:15 p.m. September 3, 2015 at her home in Bloomington.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: Tuesday, September 15, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Mary Ann Hilst, 88, of Bloomington, formerly of Lincoln, passed away at 7:15 p.m. September 3, 2015 at her home in Bloomington.

Mary Ann was born June 19, 1927 in Lincoln, the daughter of John T. and Caroline Cutter Thompson. She married Robert Hilst July 28, 1962 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death in March 1987.

Mary Ann is survived by one son; Tom Entwistle Jr. of San Juan Capistrano, CA, one daughter; Tamera “Tammy” Maxey of Bloomington; four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.

 

Mary Ann had worked at Decker’s Family Shoe Store in Lincoln and the Mason City Mill and Feed. She retired from Lincoln Furniture and Floor Covering. She had also worked part time at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home. She was a member of the Elk’s Emblem Club.

Services for Mary Ann will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Tony Shuff officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Mason City Cemetery, Mason City. Memorials may be given in Mary Ann’s name to the American Cancer Society.
