[September 16, 2015]  LINCOLN - Lincoln College’s Iota Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is hosting a quarter auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 19, in the Davidson-Sheffer Gymnasium on the Lincoln College campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a vendor show, and the auction starts at 6:30 p.m.

Auction paddles are $1, and most auctioned items will require only a single quarter bid. Auction items include gift certificates to area businesses, including El Mazatlan, Culver’s, Bonanza and Mel-O-Cream. More than 15 vendors will have cash/carry tables where attendees may purchase additional items.

Edward Bowlby, a sophomore at Lincoln College and the Iota Chi Chapter President said the work of PTK would not be possible without the community’s support. “Phi Theta Kappa at Lincoln College has been thrilled with the support of our community and vendors as we raise funds for various causes to help improve the lives of those living in our community,” said Bowlby.

Funds raised by Iota Chi Chapter are used for a variety of community projects and student development, such as supporting the Humane Society of Logan County, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Polar Plunge for Special Olympics of Logan County, and helping Iota Chi members experience leadership opportunities.
