[September 18, 2015]  LINCOLN - Safety Committee Meeting Logan County Courthouse July 6, 2015

Present: Andy Anderson; Jan Schumacher; Pat O’Neill; Dennis Reves; Bob Farmer; Dave Hepler; Terry Storer; Dan Fulscher

Mr. Anderson called the meeting to order at 10:05 am.

A motion was made by Mr. O’Neill, seconded by Mr. Hepler, to approve the minutes from September 10, 2014 as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business:

AED Training:
Mr. Anderson reported the John Logan Building, Highway Department building and Animal Control building do not have AED machines. Mr. Anderson will ask Mrs. Meagher to find the insurance reimbursement money to help pay for the machines. The Courthouse only has one AED machine, located at the security desk.

Drills- Active Shooter and Panic Alarm: Mr. Anderson would like to have a severe weather drill in the near future. Discussion was held regarding a date and time for the drill. Judges are usually out of the building on the first Wednesday of every month due to meetings. The committee believes that would be a good day to hold a severe weather drill. Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Schumacher, Mr. Storer and Mr. Fulscher will meet on 7-15-15 to discuss shelter in place for each building in case there is a tornado. Mr. Anderson will talk to Sheriff about planning an active shooter drill. Mr. Anderson wants to confirm if security knows to lock the elevator in case of emergency and how to respond to alarm button.

A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. O’Neill, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 11:10 am.
