Service: Private services will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Normal

Evelyn A. Reese, 86, of Lincoln, formerly of Port Hueneme, CA, passed away at 6:47 a.m. September 17, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Evelyn retired as an independent business owner, and interior designer and was previously a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed bowling, pinochle and crocheting.

Evelyn was born May 30, 1929 in Paulsboro, NJ, the daughter of Clarence and Lola Mae Schmidt McCaslin. She is survived by one daughter; Jennifer (Roger) Gonzalez of Normal, one son; Astor Hayes Jr. (Robin Hanson) of Silver Strand, CA, grandchildren; Jordan and Joanna Gonzalez, and Astor Hayes III, and a God daughter; Sarina Fry. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Dawn McCaslin Haines, and Sandra McCaslin Segal, and two brothers; Clarence McCaslin, Jr., and Leroy McCaslin.

Evelyn chose to be cremated. Private services will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Normal. Rev. Debbie Reese will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Evelyn’s name to Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal.

Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
