Nominees are currently being sought for two vacancies on the
Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The vacancies are a result of the
county board’s vote to expand the board from five to seven members.
The ZBA reviews applications for conditional use, ordinance
amendments, map amendments and special uses. The ZBA then makes
recommendations on the applications to the Logan County Board. The
ZBA also reviews variance applications and appeals from decisions
made by the county’s Zoning Officer.

The ZBA is scheduled to meet on the first Thursday of each month, but only meets
on an as-needed basis.
Those interested in serving should contact the County Board office for an
application form at 732-6400 or by emailing mbarr@co.logan.il.us. More
information on the ZBA is available from Will D’Andrea, Logan County Zoning
Officer, at 217-732-4773.
Applications for the ZBA should be submitted by Friday, Oct. 9.
