[September 19, 2015]  LINCOLN - Following Chairman Dave Hepler’s desire to involve more local residents in Logan County government, the county board has begun soliciting nominees for various boards and committees.

Nominees are currently being sought for two vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The vacancies are a result of the county board’s vote to expand the board from five to seven members.

The ZBA reviews applications for conditional use, ordinance amendments, map amendments and special uses. The ZBA then makes recommendations on the applications to the Logan County Board. The ZBA also reviews variance applications and appeals from decisions made by the county’s Zoning Officer.

Applications for the ZBA should be submitted by Friday, Oct. 9.
