Christmas on Broadway -- in September

[September 25, 2015]  LINCOLN - Rehearsals are underway for the 2015 version of the Harvest of Talents Musical Offering. This year’s Concert entitled ~ CHRISTMAS ON BROADWAY ~ IN SEPTEMBER, will be presented in the Sanctuary of Lincoln Christian Church, located at 204 North McLean Street, in Lincoln, on Sunday, September 27, at 2:00 p.m.

The Concert will showcase great Christmas and Broadway tunes. Tim Searby is again directing the Harvest Benefit Concert which will feature music from “South Pacific”, “Mame”, “Frozen”, “A Christmas Carol”, “Chicago”, “Carousel”, “Meet Me in St. Louis”, and many more great Broadway Musicals.

The H.O.T. Children’s Chorus will be returning for their own production number as well as joining Randy Storm in yet another great song from “Oliver”.

Beautiful accompaniment and solo work will be provided by Kay Dobson and Linda Storm, at the piano and organ.

Searby urges the community to come and hear the glorious voices that have been enjoyed in previous Musical Offerings as well as some new additions. He expressed his excitement at Randy and Linda Storm returning to Lincoln to join an outstanding group of musicians for this year’s event. He invites all music lovers to come and enjoy their favorite musicals with a touch of Christmas in the comfort of the church sanctuary.

A free will offering will be taken and all proceeds will become a part of the 2015 Harvest of Talents for World Hunger. The Lincoln Church will host the 32nd Annual Event in its Fellowship Center on Saturday, October 24. Every penny raised at the Harvest is earmarked to help feed hungry and hurting people worldwide.
