Obituary
Roger Hinthorn, 83, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on
September 22, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center of
Springfield.
Roger was born on July 12, 1932 in Mclean; son of
Omer and Leta McAfferty Hinthorn. He married Emma
Loretta Bratcher on June 30, 1957 in Bloomington.
She preceded him in death on March 19, 2014.
Surviving Roger are his daughters: Tina (Rick) Small
of Atlanta, IL and Brenda (Wendell) Lowry of
Lincoln; four brothers: Harry Hinthorn, Bill
Hinthorn, Raymond (Alice) Hinthorn, and Darrell
Hinthorn; five grandchildren: D.J. (Penny) Small,
Denny (Stasia) Small, Daniel Small, Justin (Torii)
Lowry, and Michael Lowry; six great-grandchildren:
Aimee, Ryan, Daniel, Jude, Grace, and Audrey. He was
preceded in death by his parents, two sisters:
Barbara and Mona, and three brothers: Jack, Robert,
and Dean. |
Roger was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Visitation for Roger will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday
September 25, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL. There will be no
service. Memorials may be made to the Wounded
Warrior Project.
