[April 06, 2016]  LINCOLN - Beginning Monday, April 11, 2016, construction crews will begin work on the railroad crossing upgrades for the High Speed Rail project in Lincoln.

Work will begin at Broadway St. and Decatur St. crossings first. These crossings will be closed during the upgrade. The contractor anticipates these closures to last approximately 30 days. Broadway St. traffic will be detoured to Pulaski St. and Decatur St. traffic will be detoured to Clinton St.

There will be on going additional work to the Pulaski St. crossing, including sidewalk and drainage work, but the Pulaski St. crossing will remain open.

We would encourage motorists and pedestrians alike to use extreme caution and patience while traveling in these areas.

If there are any questions or concerns, contact Street Superintendent Walt Landers at 217-732-4655.
