[April 13, 2016]  LINCOLN - Charlene Vincent, 70, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:15 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation: Monday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Open Arms Fellowship Church in Lincoln.

Service: Monday, April 11, 2016 at Noon at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln     

Obituary

Charlene A. Vincent, 70, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:15 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Vincent will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Open Arms Fellowship Church in Lincoln.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.

Charlene Ann Vincent was born on June 3, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana the daughter of David and Marie Kness Watterson. She was united in marriage to John William Vincent on June 7, 1963 in Shawnee Town, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Medena Boyd, Anthony Wayne Vincent, John William Vincent Jr., Leslie David Vincent, Charlene Marie "Sissy" Vincent, Charles Richard Vincent, Douglas Wayne Jefferies. Two sisters: Joyce Hunt , Judy Pagett. Twenty -one grandchildren, Thirty-one great grandchildren.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren: Chance Jonathon Vincent, David Lloyd Vincent, Tanika Marie Vincent.

Charlene was a member of the Open Arms Fellowship Church .

She retired from the Lincoln Development Center after 28 years of service. She later worked at Community Action in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or to the St. Jude Foundation.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Peasley Funeral Home.
