City of Lincoln to hold Tree City USA tree dedication this Friday

[April 14, 2016]  LINCOLN - For the 15th consecutive year, the city of Lincoln has once again earned recognition as being a Tree City USA Community.

Tree City USA is a national recognition program that began in 1976 and is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters.

On Friday, April 15th, the city will be conducting a tree dedication at 10:30 a.m. at the Southeast corner of Postville Park near the intersection of South Washington and Fourth Streets.

The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony.
