Grain and Feed Association of Illinois elects Todd Farris of Elkhart Grain as President at 123rd Annual Convention

[April 14, 2016]    The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois (GFAI) elected Todd Farris of Elkhart Grain Company as the Association President at their 123rd Annual Convention and Trade Show in February.

“As a Director of the Association for the past 5 years, Todd has been a valuable part of the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois," said Jeff Adkisson, GFAI Executive Director. “He has continued to provide keen insight into the industry and we look forward to his term as President of the Association.”

Farris, who is a Manager of Elkhart Grain Company in Elkhart, IL has been elected to guide the association that represents more than 90% of commercial grain storage in the State of Illinois.

“It’s an honor to serve as President of an organization that is committed to helping the grain handling and feed industries in Illinois,” said Farris. “I hope to serve as a strong voice while we work with others to solve challenges and advance the industry.”

Todd is currently the East Side Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Elkhart Grain Company and has been with the company since 1999. He has also served as a director on the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois Board of Directors before being elected to 2nd vice president two years ago, and serving as 1st vice president last year. Todd is originally from Vienna, IL and currently resides in Mt. Pulaski, IL with his wife, Sarah and their two sons, Tanner and Luke.

The Grain & Feed Association of Illinois is the statewide trade association for the grain and feed industry in Illinois. Membership consists of country and terminal grain elevators, feed dealers, feed manufacturers, grain brokers, truckers and both corn and soybean processors as well as companies who provide goods and services to the industry.
