[April 19, 2016]  LINCOLN - Kathleen “Kay” Sue Brown, 71, passed away at 7:47 p.m. at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home Peoria, on April 10, 2016.

Celebration of Life: Saturday April 23, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Knights of Columbus in Lincoln

Kathleen “Kay” Sue Brown, 71, passed away at 7:47 P.M. at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home Peoria, IL on April 10, 2016.

Kay was born on January 3, 1945 in Decatur, IL. the daughter of David and Evelyn (Colbrook) Noonan. She married Terry Brown on September 14, 1968 in Decatur, IL. He survives her in Lincoln.

Also surviving Kay are her children, Julie (Eric) Haapapuro of Vienna, VA. Troy (Amy) Brown of Lincoln; her sisters, Mary Lou Meyer and Patricia McCann; her brothers, Larry Noonan and Dennis Noonan; her beloved grandchildren, Abigail and Natalie Haapapuro, and Brayton and Braylee Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.


 

Kay was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and most of all, her four grandchildren. Kay was married to Terry for 47 years; they enjoyed traveling together. Kay had a wonderful circle of friends. She will be missed dearly by all. The family would like to thank the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for their loving care.

A celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Saturday April 23, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at The Knights of Columbus in Lincoln, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Kay’s name to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or The American Cancer Society. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home Lincoln.
