Washington, DC— Today, Rep. Darin LaHood greeted Honor Flight veterans of Springfield, Illinois as they arrived at the World War II memorial.

“Welcoming WWII, Korea, and Vietnam era veterans with the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight was easily the highlight of my morning. These memorials are built to honor these very individuals who fought for our freedoms, and I am thankful they have the opportunity to visit and enjoy the tribute that America has mounted in their honor,” stated Rep. LaHood.

Honor Flight #37 included five WWII, twenty-eight Korean, and forty-four Vietnam Era veterans and their guardians. They will be arriving back at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport at 9:30pm tonight, and visitors are welcome to come to the airport to welcome them home from their day in Washington, DC.
