[April 20, 2016]  LINCOLN - Clifford J. "Cotton" Flatt, 82, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 8:25 a.m. at his home.

Visitation:  Friday, April 15th at 12:30 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: Friday, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Clifford J. "Cotton" Flatt, 82, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 8:25 a.m. at his home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Flatt will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Pastor Greg Wooten officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart.

Clifford J. "Cotton" Flatt was born on July 27, 1933 in Maydee, Tennessee, the son of Robert McKinley and Minnie Catherine Brazeale Flatt. He was united in marriage to Charlene Phillips in March 1989 in Arkansas. She survives.

Also surviving are his stepchildren: Brad (Diane) Gould, Phillip (Leah) Gould, Karen (Jeff) Dzekunskas; and five grandchildren: Jeremy, Jenna, Bethany, Meagan, and Erika.
 

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.

Cotton loved to fish, play pool and tell stories of his many adventures. He had lived an interesting life and worked at jobs from whaling to prize fighting. Construction was his main field of work and he ultimately retired from the maintenance department at Wal-Mart in Troy, MO. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Lincoln.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home.
