[April 22, 2016]  LINCOLN - Francis P. “Frank” Novak, 81, of Lincoln passed away at his home at 12:30 a.m. April 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.

Francis P. “Frank” Novak, 81, of Lincoln passed away at his home at 12:30 a.m. April 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born October 30, 1934 in Doniphan, MO the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Novak. He married Mary Jane Meyer January 16, 1983 in Twenty Nine Palms, CA. She survives in Lincoln.

Frank is also survived by his children: Susan (Wayne) Barnes; Rachel (Phil Vola) Novak; and Shani (Jeff) Duncan; Step children: Tony (Candy) Albertson; Frank (Sylvia) Albertson; Laura (Jerry) Clark; and Gina (Rudy) Llanes; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry.



 

Frank is a retired First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp. He owned Mr. Novak’s Pet Center in Twenty Nine Palms, CA. He was an avid golfer and fisherman; he enjoyed making and repairing golf clubs; was a long time member of the Lincoln Elks. Above all else, Frank loved his family.

Graveside services for Frank will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. Full military rites accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post #263 Honor Guard. Memorials may be given in his name to the Lincoln Community High School Golf Team at 1000 Primm Road, Lincoln, IL 62656. Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
