[April 26, 2016]  MASON CITY - Kenneth P. Koeppen Sr., 80, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 3:20 p.m. at his home.

Service: Friday, April 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Mason City.

Obituary

Kenneth P. Koeppen Sr., 80, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 3:20 p.m. at his home. He was born June 8, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY., the son of Arthur P. Koeppen and Louise M. (Albrecht) Koeppen. He married Gaye L. Walker on September 1, 1956, in Norfolk, VA. She survives. He is also survived by three sons: Kenneth P. Koeppen Jr. (Tina) of Nokomis, IL., Michael W. Koeppen (Antonia) of Texas, and Kevin Lee Koeppen (Royce) of Mason City. One sister Rose Underwood of Lake Wales, FL. One granddaughter Kendra L. Koeppen of Kenosha, WI., and three grandsons: Paul J. Koeppen of Mason City, Nathan Mustered of Kilborne, and Cole Koeppen of Mason City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur Koeppen, and daughter Theresa Mustered.

 

Mr. Koeppen served in the United States Marine Corp from 1953-1956. He was a member of the American Legion Post-2910, the AMVETS post IL0179, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6408 in Havana. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Mason City.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Mason City.
