Governor Rauner expected to attend local CEO Tradeshow this evening

[April 27, 2016]  LINCOLN - According to April Doolin of the Land of Lincoln CEO Board, the group has received word that Governor Bruce Rauner expects to be in Lincoln tonight to attend the CEO Tradeshow. Doolin said that Rauner is expected to arrive at the American Legion on Fifth Street in Lincoln at around 5:15 p.m.

It is anticipated that Rauner will visit with each of the eleven CEO students and talk with them about their respective businesses.

The Land of Lincoln CEO program is wrapping up its inaugural year in Logan County. As a part of the educational process, each of the participants has been tasked with creating his or her own business based on their fields of knowledge. At tonight's trade show students will talk with visitors about their companies, and will give their sales pitch with the hopes of closing the deal for their products at least a few times during the evening.

Students who are participating in the CEO program, and who will have booths set up at the trade show include:

  • Joe Arhends - Silver Case Productions (film & video advertising);
  • Tiffany Dooley - DT Crafts (duct tape creations);
  • Katie Fairchild - Fairest Creations (custom made stuffed animals);
  • Jenna Graham - Cop Cakes (unique & tasty cupcakes);
  • Paige Hynes - Geek Photography (photography);

  • Logan Keysear - Clear TLK Productions (music production);
  • Emma Mammen - Peaceful Perks (handmade bath essentials);
  • Evan Miller - Metal Millers (art, gun repair, welding);
  • Hope Moos - Duck Duck Moos (unique sportsman accessories);
  • Eli Olsen - Aedifex (3D printed creations);
  • Michael Woods - Spitting Image Custom Cartoons (cartoon productions).

This event is open to the public, and will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
